Achievement



Achievement means different to different people, it basically depends on how we perceive. Many relate it to gains in monetary aspects, relationships, positions etc. So what’s your perception on achievement which when attained will make you happy at the end of the day?
Let me pen down my thoughts on this, many may feel it as bizarre but I can’t stop it since it’s my thought. It all came to my mind when I was in class IX when a sudden demise of my super senior and my neighbor Mr. Raji had occurred. He was a true extrovert, friendly and a very funny person. I had gone to his funeral and a huge chunk of people were present. It was a surprise for me since I had never seen so much crowd during any funeral and it consisted of just his friends. I also had a feeling that he didn’t live his life fully and had died at a early age of 21 but after some calculations in my mind I had a notion that he had achieved what many people doesn’t, after living for years and that’s goodwill. He was so popular among his friend and each and every person present there was missing him. This is what I believe is an achievement. After that I always feel that my funeral(may be after 100 years) should have the similar ambience and no one should curse me for anything.

Ethics



People who are far or who are near,
Its for everyone to give an ear and hear.
From fame, power or any magical sticks,
Nothing can be ranked over ethics.

Be it in love or in any relationship,
Or may just be a feeling of friendship.
Its true and always will be the basics,
Everything needs a little bit of ethics.

May be a small work or a large one,
To complete it with integrity and fun.
It does require intellect and some tricks,
But above all, this too requires ethics.

To be in the top and be like a king,
It does need luck and some thinking.
But to rightly place the success bricks,
There should be a base called ethics.

You may be in any part of the earth,
You may have everything with no dearth.
But for being happy there are no tactics,
Than to follow the path of ethics.

Men will always be men



One of my friends once asked me that why I write rhymes regarding females only? The reply I gave him was that it is easy to describe a female since there are many different words to depict about them and also in most of the novels the writer have portrayed the females very beautifully. But the actual reason is simple and straight “Men will always be men”. Any way below are the verses I had written for two of my best friends of opposite sex.


Suppu:

Some friends are beyond words of description,
One among them is a gal with rare combination
You will find her cute and easy to mingle
Unless you get into her nerves or tingle
She is the one who made me believe
Gals too enjoy and r not made to grieve
Many may say “I am always with you”
She won’t say but will stand by you
She is very strong as her nature shows
Since she can accept life even in lows
Friends love her for the way she care
She is one with, u can easily share
Changes may happen with changing trends
But she will be among my best of friends
The gal you will remember as an orator
Is Suppu my friend and a perfect motivator

A perfect example of beauty with brains
If you are the one she trains
She is the one with attractive eyes
And has always been my vision in disguise
Everyone may like the beauty in her
But I like her beauty which lies inner
For me the news was an absolute myth
Her nuptials to a guy named Saljith
But the couple looked so cute together
Which made my myth not to bother
Traits of her are similar to my sister
That’s why they are always found together
No matter however she grows older
She will never give a cold shoulder
Her presence in my life, I truly treasure

Numerology Genuflects before AMMA



Numerology basically defines the meaning behind some particular numbers. Many of you might be a novice with the term numerology, so I would take you through some of its facts. A few important things to note before we start with it. In numerology, you can’t have a two digit number unless it is an 11 or 22(sometimes 33, 44, etc). 11 and 12 are considered master vibrations and are not reduced. Other two or more digit numbers are reduced by adding the individual integers within the number.

There are two types of calculations in numerology i.e. Date calculation and Name calculation. (Let us calculate these w.r.t AMMA).

Date Calculation

This number is the most important in your chart. Your life path number can be thought of almost as an external influence. To arrive at this number you add the month, day and year of birth.

As you know Amma’s birthday falls on 27/09/1953

So life path number will be 2+7+9+1+9+5+3 = 36 again, because we can’t have a double digit number, we reduce the sum these numbers by adding the two numbers in 36, which gives us:
3+6 = 9

Day of Birth

Your day of birth number gives an indication of your point of view. This number is simply the number of the day of your birth without the month or year.

So the Day of Birth number is 2+7 = 9

Name Calculations

The following chart shows the numbers assigned to each letter and is the basis for many numerology readings. To read the chart, find the letter you are looking for and look at the corresponding number at the top of the column containing the letter. For example, the letter A would be 1, the letter B would be 2, the letter C would be 3, etc.

Valentine’s Day



Valentine’s Day has a huge lot of different reasons behind its celebration. According to my awareness the root for this festivity is the reverence to Saint Valentine. Saint Valentine (in Latin, Valentinus) is the name of the several martyred saints of ancient Rome. The name “Valentine” is derived from valens (worthy). Although still providing no connections whatsoever with sentimental love, appropriate lore has been embroidered in modern times to portray Valentine as a priest who refused an unattested law attributed to Roman Emperor Claudius II, allegedly ordering that young men remain single. The emperor supposedly did this to grow his army, believing that married men did not make for good soldiers. The priest Valentine, however, secretly performed marriage ceremonies for young men. When Claudius found out about this, he had Valentine arrested and thrown in jail. In an embellishment to The Golden Legend provided by American Greetings, Inc. to History.com and widely repeated, on the evening before Valentine was to be executed, he wrote the first “Valentine” himself, addressed to a young girl variously identified as his beloved, as the jailer’s daughter whom he had befriended and healed, or both. It was a note that read “From your Valentine.”

As of now Valentine’s Day is celebrated by the young generation to put across their feeling of love to their beloved. The view we watch in this particular day is couples basking around in seashores, gardens or other pretty good hangout places. Everywhere there are appearances of beautiful red roses or its bouquet. As red is the color of love and also the specialty of this day, it can be seen in every nook and corner during this day. But unfortunately this is only the external appearance with no inner feeling of love. Today among the youngsters the meaning of love has been ruined. People have also become gullible in the name of love. Love has become just a feigning thing. Love for most of the youngsters has hit a cul de sac. There is also a common feeling that there are tricks to woo the one you love, this might be true but relationship thus formed will not sustain.

The only thing you can do to experience true love is to love selflessly. When love is selfless then there is no expectations and if there is no expectations then there will no sorrows(as you know expectations leads to sorrows)Many may find this sheer foolishness but if you just think of the purest love you had experienced in this world then you will come to know that its mother’s love which is selfless or unconditional. There may be a feeling that no one will respond to your selfless love but it’s not true. The key philosophy of Paulo Coelho’s novel Alchemist is “when you really want something to happen, the whole universe conspires so that your wish comes true” and this also stands true in case of love.

Love is a feeling that’s very pure
Its not just attraction or about lure
People doesn’t fall but rise in love
Its as innocent and gentle as dove
Don’t misunderstand it as lust
It purely depends on ones trust
Love doesn’t need to impress
Its just being true and selfless
Its not a joke or its not a jest
Its very beautiful and the best

Embarrassing moments….. are they really embarrassing?



The moment in which you are caught up in an awkward situation may be called an embarrassing moment. One noteworthy thing is that, if no one is there to observe it other than the person undergoing it then to an extent it might not be so much of an annoying kind of a situation. Anyway I am not going to boast on what is embarrassing moment and how we can avoid it since I for myself have so much such moments in my kitty that I could easily write a book on it.
The one known fact about this kind of moments is that it is experienced by every person born in this world. From king to slave, poor to rich, intelligent to fool, powerful to ordinary man….. no one is spared by these moments.
During my graduation days me and my finest buddies namely Laiju Abraham and Sudhir Vijayan used to talk about our personnel embarrassing moments and would have a hearty laugh. At that very point it clicked to me that all embarrassing moments creates laughter to some person or the other. Basically these are the moments that in future when we recollect brings grins in our face. These are the moments when shared creates an ambiance of smiling faces. Now you might have a question on your mind that how come I am writing this now when I got the thought half a decade before. The reason is that I had created the blog just lately!!... Sorry for the bad jest. The actual reason is that I saw a bollywood movie ”Straight” just recently in which it had shown that you can do standup comedy by just sharing the embarrassing moments you have undergone. After watching that movie I came to conclusion that my thoughts are thus justified. So whenever you have gone through such situation, make up your mind and think that this will be one of your memorable moment and when recalled will bring smile in your face or this when shared with your loved ones will bring smile in their face, this thought might bring some relief to you. This is what I feel. A thought can change your life, so enjoy every such moment with a smile.

As said earlier there are many such moments in my life and I would like to throw some light on one such moment. One evening at about 6:00 PM in kurla station I and my friend were waiting on the 6th platform for Panvel local. It was the peak hour with full on crowd. There were people jumping from platform to platform through the railway lines to change the trains. There were people who not even have a look before crossing the railway lines. I have a habit that, if I saw any train coming I would alert the people crossing that railway line(I got this habit after I had seen a accident in front of my eye in which a train had crushed a person who was crossing the line). Now the situation was that I was in the 6th platform facing the 5th platform and there were 2 railway lines between the two platforms. I saw the train for the 5th platform was coming and the very moment a person from the 4th platform was rushing towards the 5th and had almost reached the end of the platform, I had interpreted that he might jump and come across to the 6th platform, I started shouting “don’t jump train is coming”. Every eye there was on me, my friend was wonder struck by my reaction and to my misfortune the person who was rushing had just come to the end of the platform to spit.
So now if u have a smile in your face then my point is proven or else…

That’s the time I need money I pretend
She is a gal who likes to be punctual
A rare quality any gal has in actual
Being friendly to everyone is her etiquette
And ethics for her is the most valuable trait
With this attitude she can reach the height of fame
She is my sister, SEEMA SIVADAS is her name




Elder one:

The gal who i have been so close from long,
Is the one whose parents i too belong.
The way she can read my mind,
No one in the world can do in same kind.
She is always there with her friends in distress,
And her hobby is to collect diff kinds of dress.
Our relation has reached a diff height,
So what we always have a regular fight.
Teacher by profession, pure by essence,
She can control any class with her mere presence.
Her strength comprise values and ethics
For such a gal there is no suffix.

Nick name



Nick name for everyone may be the one which has importance only after the original name, but for me it has always been vice versa. Precisely saying till date I have always been known by my nick names. The number of nick names I have got since my childhood is quite large in number. If you ever give a thought on who has nick names and about who has the most number of these, then you will get a clear picture that all famous people are the ones who are privileged by these. Let’s take examples such kareena known as bebo, Sharukh khan as king khan, amitabh bachan as big b, sachin tendulkar as little master and so on so forth. Now don’t misinterpret that I am also a famous person, since the reason behind my nick name is simple, because all my friends are creative. The first nick name I got from my friend was ‘Mahajan’, the reason behind this name was in some famous serial there was a character known as Maneesh Mahajan. The next was thampi, this name was because I was the only south Indian in my friends group. In school I was known as 2 by 2, this was because I was very short in height. Next in the list of names was muthu swamy, I am still being known by this name. The list never ends here, there are many more funny names and the reasons behind them are much funnier. At first I use to get irritated or more exactly saying I used to get agitated by these names. But now most probably I don’t have the similar reaction. Since if you think on a positive verge people irritate other people only if they like them. So that’s what I feel and so am fortunate to have such a huge number of nick names.
