The moment in which you are caught up in an awkward situation may be called an embarrassing moment. One noteworthy thing is that, if no one is there to observe it other than the person undergoing it then to an extent it might not be so much of an annoying kind of a situation. Anyway I am not going to boast on what is embarrassing moment and how we can avoid it since I for myself have so much such moments in my kitty that I could easily write a book on it.
The one known fact about this kind of moments is that it is experienced by every person born in this world. From king to slave, poor to rich, intelligent to fool, powerful to ordinary man….. no one is spared by these moments.
During my graduation days me and my finest buddies namely Laiju Abraham and Sudhir Vijayan used to talk about our personnel embarrassing moments and would have a hearty laugh. At that very point it clicked to me that all embarrassing moments creates laughter to some person or the other. Basically these are the moments that in future when we recollect brings grins in our face. These are the moments when shared creates an ambiance of smiling faces. Now you might have a question on your mind that how come I am writing this now when I got the thought half a decade before. The reason is that I had created the blog just lately!!... Sorry for the bad jest. The actual reason is that I saw a bollywood movie ”Straight” just recently in which it had shown that you can do standup comedy by just sharing the embarrassing moments you have undergone. After watching that movie I came to conclusion that my thoughts are thus justified. So whenever you have gone through such situation, make up your mind and think that this will be one of your memorable moment and when recalled will bring smile in your face or this when shared with your loved ones will bring smile in their face, this thought might bring some relief to you. This is what I feel. A thought can change your life, so enjoy every such moment with a smile.
As said earlier there are many such moments in my life and I would like to throw some light on one such moment. One evening at about 6:00 PM in kurla station I and my friend were waiting on the 6th platform for Panvel local. It was the peak hour with full on crowd. There were people jumping from platform to platform through the railway lines to change the trains. There were people who not even have a look before crossing the railway lines. I have a habit that, if I saw any train coming I would alert the people crossing that railway line(I got this habit after I had seen a accident in front of my eye in which a train had crushed a person who was crossing the line). Now the situation was that I was in the 6th platform facing the 5th platform and there were 2 railway lines between the two platforms. I saw the train for the 5th platform was coming and the very moment a person from the 4th platform was rushing towards the 5th and had almost reached the end of the platform, I had interpreted that he might jump and come across to the 6th platform, I started shouting “don’t jump train is coming”. Every eye there was on me, my friend was wonder struck by my reaction and to my misfortune the person who was rushing had just come to the end of the platform to spit.
So now if u have a smile in your face then my point is proven or else…
