My love for cricket gradually dies

Cricket known to me was as Sachin’s game
So it’s not relevant for me without his name
The winning streak came to us with his presence
And surely it will affect during his absence
His innovative upper cuts and cheeky shots
Are now just followed by the world in lots
The shots he plays are just a visual delight
Even his opponents describe him as elite
All bowlers in front of him are just crawlers
He still is the nightmare for world class bowlers
Never shows aggression in expression or speech
His bat speaks to rivals without any breach
The records may verbalize you his prominence
And the humility he has shows his eminence
Now as the little master retires from ODI’s
My love for cricket gradually dies
